About this deal

The following builds using these have some real merit, and should be starting points for many lists:

Seriously though, we’ve been through the Runes of Fate powers and seen just how good they are, and these are the guys that get to wield them. You want those powers, so you want one of these. Farseers get access to this Discipline, and while the powers only have one effect each they’re some spicy, spicy stuff in here. Acrylic model paints : colors depend entirely on your preferences. Vallejo and Formula P3 are stalwart alternatives to Games Workshop. So in conclusion, this set is like the infantry-brother of the Start-Collecting set. You get your first Troop choice, a cheap HQ and a Transport. While these boxes are discussed here like they are "rivals" the truth is that they complement each other perfectly. The Spiritseer really adds to the Wraiths, the Wave Serpent can be used both with Wraiths and Infantry and the Guardians are there to fill out your basic troop needs. Unparalleled Mastery (1CP): Extra cast with a Farseer immediately after succeeding on their last power. Handy when you really need to just shovel mortals onto something by tagging on a smite, and especially worth using if you’ve also popped Seer Council and/or have your Farseer rerolls in hand so you can fish for a super Smite. B+ Attribute – Wild Host: Re-roll charges. In addition, BIKERS can treat Heavy weapons as Assault when they advance. Shining Spears are the thing right now, at least until the Ynnari Index hits. But even in regular CWE armies they are great - they can do so many things simultaneously. Shoot down cheap infantry like Guardsmen with their Shuriken Weapons, blast Tanks with their Lances and charge into whatever is left. For Aeldari standards, they are quite resilient with a T4, 2W and a 4++. With Alaitoc and Ulthwé, even more so. Their mobility allows them to be wherever you need them to be. 22" move, shoot down a Unit & Fire & Fade out of line of sight. Move 16", shoot down a Unit of Guardsmen and charge the vehicle they were trying to protect. Move 22", Fire & Fade & Grab an objective at the other side of the board. Their downsides come with a hefty price of 34 points per Model (a squad of 5 is almost as expensive as the CHE) and with T4/2W they can get shot to pieces when your opponent focus fires them. Keep them away from Autocannons and Plasma weapons - they are the bane of our Bikers. Both are a flat Damage 2 and Wound on 2+/3+ respectively with 2 Shots per weapon. So every failed 4++ safe is a dead 34 point model. You really don´t want that to happen.

Weak Character Customisation: Craftworlds have a pretty terrible list of Relics and Warlord Traits, meaning their Characters can’t tool up nearly as effectively as most factions. C-). And that is the Wraithknight biased me. In all honesty it´s probably worse than that. If you want to even play a tiny bit competitively, you have 141€ of wasted units in this box. So the 90€ discount suddenly becomes a 50€ increase. Just pass this. I´ve been noticing lately that quite a few players started playing Craftworlds and many had similar questions. So I thought I could write a small guide for those interested in it and with similar questions. If this is unwanted I won´t take offense if this is taken down and I´m happy for any contributor. Maybe others who are knowledgable with Harlequins and Drukhari can put out similar things (again, if it is wanted). Note that I´m European, so I´m going to use the prices from the Store in Euro. Might differ around the world. Overview: What if Legolas, but in space? That’s the Aeldari, also known as Eldar and Asuryani. They’re elegant and immortal, and they have the most advanced technology in the 41st millennium. The Aeldari also enjoy a gamut of nasty psychic powers, which are 40K’s version of spells. Despite their superiority in firepower and speed, the average Aeldari unit is fragile.Wrath of the Dead: Re-roll wound rolls of 1 for WRAITH CONSTRUCT units. Very heavy Wraith builds do exist, and while this isn’t fantastic it’s not totally horrendous if that’s your plan C+ He’s probably a shade on the expensive side, but combining him with Dire Avengers provides a capability that’s otherwise badly missing from the book, so can be built around profitably. The Avatar of Khaine Suggested starting kits: Battlewagon, Meganobz, Ork Warboss Grukk’s Boss Mob, Ork Tanksbustas, Ork Boyz, Ork Warbiker Mob Headstrong & Hunters of Ancient Relics: Is your entire Craftworld plan built around throwing Shining Spears at people? Good news, this might be for you. Yriel : If you ever want to take a Foot Autarch in an Iyanden list you should probably take him instead. However, you very rarely want to do either of these things.

Warlord Trait – Natural Leader: Give a BIEL TAN unit within 3″ at the start of the shooting phase re-rolls of failed hits Eldar trooos have oscilated wildly in viability over time as point cuts and hikes have slammed into them, so it’s something of a relief that at the moment the dial is turned towards them being at least OK. The January FAQ handed price cuts to all four options here, meaning they all have plausible uses. Guardian Defenders Why play them: They’re random and hilarious. Set your units in the direction of the opposition, and then charge them directly in. Laugh maniacally when an Ork slaughters a Space Marine Terminator at one eighth the points cost.

Craftworlds Eldar Lore

Webway Warriors: You can use Webway Strike an extra time for each detachment in your army with this trait. Very much not worth a slot now you can use Strategic Reserves as an additional source of Deep Strike. D
