About this deal

Here dinosaurs are depicted according to the most current paleontological understanding. Thus they have feathers (even large theropods, that were not necessarily feathered, as rhino's and elephants also don't have hairs) and even the way they lay down, or move about, or eat, is thoroughly researched. This is also shown by intermezzo's from the consulting paleontologist, who explains his reasoning for some depictions.

Some eat meat, yes, but they are more than monsters - they are shy, or bond with carers. They develop gout because of kidey failure or have special dietary needs. This makes the dinosaurs not less interesting, but more interesting, as they are as complex and fascinating as current life on earth. Probably my first proper foray into manga, and I'm loving it! It's basically what I've wanted to read about for a long time. Don't get me wrong, I liked both the first Jurassic park book (second one I still have to read) and the first two movies. (The jurassic world ones can go take a hike though.) But I also just want a dinosaur story that show's them off how they would behave realistically and how cool they are without all the gore. One that didn't focus on the horror aspect and how it's always just about dino and humans killing eachother. Or the those 2000's dino doc's that just focused on fighting? I think I hated those as a kid. Show me more of the daily life of dinosaurs, how they socialize, raise young and stuff, not just hunting and fighting. If you're looking for something similar, then I think Dinosaur Sanctuary is a good fit! In additional to creatures on that are on your strike team, they clarified that there are some additional creatures that cannot be placed in sanctuaries:

TLDR; young girl with passion for dinosaurs never grew up and became a dinosaur zookeeper in her twenties. And main villain seems to be capitalism, as it should be.

Dinosaur Sanctuary Vol. 2 (Dinosaurs Sanctuary) : Itaru Dinosaur Sanctuary Vol. 2 (Dinosaurs Sanctuary) : Itaru

A school group comes to Dinoland and they have a Giganotosaurus feeding show. The announcer, Kaidou-San compares how the teeth of Giganotosaurus are like knives, and this makes one of the children cry out of fear. Suma Suzume, a new dino-keeper, helps calm the child down and tells them how birds are dinosaurs. Kaidou-San shows Suma Suzume around Dinoland. Suma Suzume says how since the incident, there was a huge gap between humans and dinosaurs, and she wants to bridge that gap. Davidson, Danica (October 21, 2022). "Dinosaur Sanctuary Is For Anyone Who's a Fan of Dinos and Manga". Otaku USA . Retrieved July 15, 2023. Suzume meets the heads of the creature care departments in Dinoland, and starts to get ready to officially get her permanent assignment. Fifteen years ago, Kaidou-san works with an Allosaurus, which escapes and heads to the general visitors area. The artstyle is absolutely gorgeous with a lot of detail for both the dinosaur and human characters, but enviroments also aren't forgotten. After the Biosyn incident in 2022, the sanctuary was designated a global sanctuary by the United Nations, where the animals will live freely, safe from the outside world. [2] Prehistoric Animals [ ] The sanctuary has an Aerial Deterrent System (ADS), which protects planes or helicopters from the airborne life (or vice versa). [2] The manga takes a realistic viewpoint of the parks. It does show a dinosaur eating a deer carcass, fair warning. You watch dinosaurs hatch from eggs and be treated for medical conditions and everything felt plausible.

I was one of those dino-crazed kids who spent considerable amounts of their time wondering what the world would be like if there were still some dinosaurs around and we could go see them in a controlled environment such as, say, a zoo or something, so this series' premise sounded like targeted advertising when I first read it. The child in me is beside herself: this was a wonderful read and I loved it right from the first chapter. All animals have a neuro implant that can be used to remotely herd them to a different spot in the sanctuary. During the incident, they were herded to emergency containment in the research facility due to the wildfire caused by the burning locusts. [2] Creatures that you already placed in another Sanctuary (creatures can’t be in two places at once!). I love how the dino's where portrayed and the people interacting with them. I also really liked that we get to see how the staff takes care of their dinosaurs. If you like those programs that show the behind the scene care of zoo animals you might enjoy this manga :D

WHAT REALLY HAPPENED… When dinosaurs were found to have survived to modern times, people were enthralled—until a catastrophic incident drove dino-mania to extinction. When Kaidou, who was there to witness it, opens up about what happened, the rookie Dino keeper Suma Suzume learns more about the disaster—and her coworker—than she ever expected. But that far from Rhett only thing on her mind. Whether it’s raising a baby Troodon or throwing a birthday party for a geriatric T. rex, there’s always plenty for Suzume to do at Dinoland! Apart from the dinosaurs, the sanctuary has a deer population that serves as food for the prehistoric predators. [2] In January 2022, Seven Seas Entertainment announced that they licensed the series for English publication. [4] Volume list [ edit ] No. There's a friggin triceratops named Masaru that loafs like a cat! I loved him so much, Masaru had to be my fave dino from the first volume. I kinda want a Masaru plush lol. Can the keepers safely remove an obstruction from a Troodon’s throat? Can they help boost the popularity of a triceratops with a broken horn so he won’t be sold to another zoo? Did the vet catch the signs of kidney disease in the Dilophosaurus in time?Machine translation, like DeepL or Google Translate, is a useful starting point for translations, but translators must revise errors as necessary and confirm that the translation is accurate, rather than simply copy-pasting machine-translated text into the English Wikipedia. Creatures that are too dangerous for your current Player Level, as shown on their creature portrait.
